With over 3500 members, we certainly have a thriving community here, and so here are a few LSOC promotional items to remind you of your favourite club.
Right then, first up, how about some wallpaper for your desktop. It's free and only takes a couple of seconds to install.
There are two versions to choose from. The right hand one being the LSOC logo on a simulated wooden backround, and the one shown on the left is a picture of a silver Soarer that you'll already be familiar with if you already have the LSOC screen saver on your PC. Just click on the picture of the one you fancy to load a page with the full sized image and intructions on how to set it as wallpaper. The black surround on the right hand version will expand to fit most desktop sizes Just make sure that you select "Center" in your desktop settings. The car picture is 1024x768 pixels, but most desktops now have a "Stretch" facility so even if you're running a higher resolution it should end up fitting the screen. Full instructions will be displayed at the top of the page as the image loads, but even if you've never changed your desktop picture before, don't worry. It ain't exactly rocket science. It literally takes a couple of seconds
We have a new improved LSOC Screensaver. A delight for Soarer owners everywhere and all constructed with high quality content too.
It's an animated collection of cubes with various Soarer pictures (as featured throughout the LSOC site) on the sides. All very tasteful and a must have for all members. Just click the picture to the right and when prompted save the file to your Windows directory. You should then find it with the rest of your screen savers, However if that doesn't happen, it could be because of your security settings. So in that event, you will have to right click file (In My Computer), select properties, security, and unblock. Then right click on it again and install, then you should see it on the Screen Saver tab in display properties.
If you experience any further difficulties installing it, take a look at the screensaver discussion on the LSOC forum where you might the solution, or failing that just post the details of the problem that you're experiencing and someone will be along to help.
We also have LSOC full colour cards, which are available to any member that would like some for the purposes of handing out to any fellow Soarer owners (or prospective Soarer owners for that matter) that you might meet in your travels, so that they are aware that there's a place for advice and help.
The cards are plastic laminated and so can be easily left under a windscreen wiper without getting remotely soggy should you come across an unattended Soarer in passing.
Be warned though, they're so damn sexy you wont want to part with them once you get your hands on a set. To get some sent to you just send a request using the form here with your name and address (UK only I'm afraid) and they'll be with you in a day or two.
Finally, a little help with recognising other LSOC members whilst out on the road. Stuart Bramzel has kindly offered to supply free car stickers to club members. They are of excellent quality and all you have to do to get one is to send a stamped addressed envelope, plus an extra loose 1st class stamp to:
ALPHA PRINT (LSOC OFFER)
379 Westborough Road
Westcliff-on-Sea
Essex
SS0 9TS
(Most important to remember that he requires TWO stamps. One on the SAE and another extra loose stamp) Please allow 2-3 days for delivery. My particular thanks to Stuart for his patience while I fussed over backgrounds and sizes.
The stickers are about 2" square and come with two choices of background. Either plain white or with a wood effect (a la LSOC Wallpaper), so please state your preference. In the first picture I have carefully cut round the white background and removed it (all those years watching Blue Peter weren't wasted after all). The result sits nicely on the drivers side front window, which seems a good place to put it so that oncoming drivers can see it. Stuart is also happy to send stickers to our members down under as well, although because of the increased postage charges he asks you to enclose a $5 note, and he'll send you TWO stickers for your trouble.
